Apparently it's just "Teenage Rebellion"

Lately I've been thinking about getting a nose piercing.

My mom, however, will have nothing to do with this idea whatsoever.
I sorta understand that.
A little.

I think that on some people, they can look really trashy. But on other people they can make you look that much more... well, cool!

This is a perfect example of someone actually looking GOOD with a nose ring:

Doesn't it look great on her?

I love how it adds a little something more to her whole look.

Of course, I won't be able to get one until I'm at least 18, and moved out. Haha.

But what do you think?
Do you have a nose piercing, or would you ever get one?

  2. I have a nose piercing. I got it when I was 23. I had wanted it for a while, but finally made the decision at the right time. It was a profound moment for me. I had an amazing piercer who was very gentle and explained the whole journey to me. It hurt, but the emotional explosion that came with it was somewhat overwhelming, and I cried from happiness. It felt freeing.

The actual piercing took a really long time to feel comfortable. The nose takes forever to heal. 2 years later and I can honestly say it is fully healed. I wear a tiny stud that flashes red when the light catches it. It is small, but perfect.

Get a nose piercing when you feel like you know who you are. It will be good for you.

  3. Thanks, Jess! I like to hear that. :D

Kate - Wow! What a story. That's awesome. I think I can imagine what you were feeling. It's got to be great to be able to express yourself in a new way, you know? Thanks for sharing that. :) I definitely am wanting one more and more. haha.

  4. Ha, I don't have a nose piercing. I have a belly button ring (and I love it but that's not the point) from when I was 18. My roommate for next year got her nose pierced when she was 18. Must be something about that age, lol. She didn't tell her mom so coming home after break was a little bit of a shock that year. The mom got over it because, like your idea, the nose ring was just a small, classy addition that actually looked really cute on her. It didn't make her look trashy or anything. So, my vote is....go for it!
